Hi Roger,

I'm anxious to set up a new tank and am wondering when the 9015 might be available? Where should I place my order to get on the waiting list?

Thanks,
Robin

Any dealer could get you on the wait list. Premium Aquatics has a standing stocking order so they would probably be first. The 9010 is out, the 9015 cup is made by Axel Tunze's brother Jurgen and he was sick and has just started on them a couple weeks ago so I suspect they should come in very soon. That cup has a lot of hand labor and Jurgen is an expert at plastic and metal fabrication so he does that work alone.

I'm looking into one of those skimmers myself mostly because of the use of only a 21 watt pump. I'm using an iwaki 40 now for my skimmer and it just isn't efficient enough for me using 130 watts and making the chiller work much harder than is necessary.

I hope to have some first hand experience soon and I will report back. The 9010 I showed at Macna I plan to set up at the LFS for testing.

Yes, they shipped them out on Tuesday, I should have them here next week. BTW, when you get it and this is very important, firmly insert the stand pipe in the elbow, I have had a couple come back on the smaller models and we found the problem was that the pipe was not fully inserted and then it was too tall so water couldn't exit.

Roger, I have a 9010. Not sure what you are talking about as far as the standpipe and elbow. The only thing that I see is removable is the collection cup and the sliding door at the bottom front of the unit that is used for control of water content of skimmate. Am I missing something?

On a 9010, their is a standpipe with a blue foam that slides into the front for in sump use. It can be assembled two ways- in tank or in sump. The 9005 comes delivered only for in tank use butthe 9010 should have included this piece.
