They are quiet and I like them but I sell them so you probably want someone elses opinion.

They are very quiet even with the air inlets at its maximum open position and the tank is in my living room! By far, this is the best skimmer I've used (amongst EuroReefs, DAS, Deltecs). It's very easy to set up and it's like all the other Tunze equipment: plug and play. For its size, you really can't beat it!
