Documentary "Racing Extinction" By Discovery

Hello RC GM,

I have recorded Racing Extinction last night and myself and my wife cried while watching what goes on in other parts of the world and birds and sea life that is on the verge of extinction, It was amazing documentary by Discovery....

i also watched this. It was an incredible documentary that really hit me in the feels. Amazing how cruel we as a human species are to the animals in the world. Something needs to change before there is nothing left.

I don't have the population figures in front of me, but it seems the developing world is now adding a billion people every decade or so. Since many of the richest and most diverse ecosystems are located in places where impoverished populations are expanding exponentially, it's difficult to envision a scenario where habitat loss can be slowed down, much less meaningfully reversed. I sure hope that's wrong though!

Well done documentary.

As far as this hobby...
I am surprised by how few marine fish species have been captive bred. You would think with the cost of marine fish and possible government grant that this issue would be resolved for more fish species by now.

It is good to see that there is a frag and breeding forum.

I just finished the book The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert and it was really eye opening. If you liked this doc you should really check it out. The acidification of our oceans is truly scary.

heard a lot of commercials on this documentary. I'll find some time to watch it this weekend. Gonna be a downer for sure :/
