Does a bare bottom LPS tank make any sense?

I decided to go bare bottom with lots of flow (50x turnover per hour) because I wanted to keep SPS.

Now I find out my girlfriend does not like SPS because there is no "movement" and wants mostly LPS with some SPS.

Could I switch to LPS and thottle back my barracuda?

Then maybe once every few days crank up the flow to get everything off the bottom and suspended then into my overflow/filter sock?

sound's perfectly fine to me...

Yeah, it makes sense in theory but I am worried that the stuff that will collect on the bottom might get sticky and be impossible to suspend when the flow gets cranked up.

Throw some sand in. I bet she'd like that too. :) Anyways, maybe just put some powerheads behind the rock work pointed at the rocks and at the bottom.

That wont work.

I have two Maxijets on the bottom now and its not helping much.

I kept LPS in my BB and they did just fine. I kept the flow to the bottom of the tank to keep any crap from settling and blew off the rocks once a week (ok, maybe more like every 3 weeks). No reason it won't work great for you. You just can't blast them off their skeletons!
