Does a protein skimmer interact with cooper treatment??

I have 10 fish in my quarentine tank being treated to marine Ich.
I am treating them with cooper. The tank is small (125L) and I am conserned about water conditions. I have an extra skimmer should I plug it in or does it reduces the chance of treatment with cooper?
Please let me know what you think.

Dave,

Are you sure that copper binds with acrylic? I've never seen any evidence that it does. Carbonate materials, yes, maybe even silicone, but not glass and plastic.

I think the skimmer can be re-used elsewhere if cleaned well.

Honestly I am not sure. But I would not take a chance.

Thanks I think I will use it then. After I will make it run a few days in water and vinegar to make sure its clean to use again if needed. Im sure it will be better for the fish.
