Does anybody have a pic of hammer stinging a frog. or vice versa?

I don't know if my pink hammer is stinging my frogspawn. They are about three inches away from each other. The frog is downstream of the hammer, but I have never seen them touch.

My frog now has fleshy bubble-like protrusions near each mouth. Can anyone tell me what it would look like if my hammer was stinging my frogspawn?

Thanks in advance,
Darlene

Darlene,
Not sure what it would look like if one was to sting the other but I would say that three inches is not enough distance between them. Both can be semi Aggressive and will sting each other I would put some more space between them if you can.

They should,nt sting each other, they are both Euphyllias and should live side by side touching each other, all 8 of mine are and iv no problems. ;) :D

Euphyllias can be smack up against each other and will not sting each other, though their tentacles may start to take chemical cues from each other: your hammer may bud at various places.

I would however not include torch [another euphyllia] in that lovefest: torch is hotter and reports on its compatibility are not in agreement.

I agree with the majority. Euphyllia sp. can contact each other without any negative effects, other than overgrowing/ shading each other.
Is the frogspawn you are refering to a Euphyllia parancora ( the branching type)?
E. parancora will swell at the oral cavity when it is dividing, and you will soon see 2 or more mouths form. It is a bit disturbing sometimes as the tissue is stretching out, but as long as you don't see "brown jelly"/ infection, all is well.
Good luck!

I think I'm having babies!:bounce1:

Both are the branching type. Today everything looks good and I see new mouths.

No brown jelly. Thank goodness.
