Does anybody make there own fish food ?

Would like to know any different methods or mixes to feed my breeder clowns ?

They will eat almost any fresh chopped up seafood
scallops , shrimp, cod , oysters , clams

Ever since I mix my own fish food those coral and fish seem to be much healthier

I have been making my own food for 40years

It is mostly clams which I freeze and shave off paper thin slices and live blackworms
All my fish are spawning including my 20 year old fireclows, mandarins, clown gobies and watchmans

All the ingredients are blended together and a gel is made from agar and allowed to cool before mixing in and placing it ziplocs in flat sheets that will be easy to cut when frozen. You can test if it will gel properly by putting a small amount in the freezer for 5 min. If doesn't gel it needs more agar. After its frozen just chop it into the size pieces you want. For clowns this mix should contain a high percentage of kelp (40%) and a bit less shrimp.

I forgot to mention that the kelp I usually just do by volume because it's so light and it needs to be pre soaked in cold water to rehydrate it before mixing. You can also use nori or other types as long as they are not cooked and don't have any additional ingredients.
