does anyone have a least favorite fish?

the two blue reef chromis that spent 10 weeks in QT, added to my display, to somehow bring ich in, and annihilate every damn fish I had....

I have a beautiful reef with no fish now....running fallow day 2

Tilapia. Yuck. That's about all you can find on the menu these days, I never liked it.

:P

HA! good one. Had a six line- most disliked fish. Picked on any new fish whether it was a similar shape or not, always stole food from corals I was feeding.

Anything in the pseudochromis family. 6 line wrasses may start out ok but become holy terrors. Green brittle star. It got really big and was very active, which was very cool until I saw him hunting one night and then trying to eat my helfrichi fire fish.

All of the above were banished to my 150, to live with my 4' Gymnothorax Undulatus ( undulated moray)

Those helfrichi fire fish don't come cheap. Firefish aren't the brightest fish, I accidentally crushed my firefish to death when I was moving my scape:hammer:. It was to bad because I really enjoyed him.

Dang that's awful, i'm sorry that happened to you. I know i'm attached to my fish and it was very distressing when I crushed to death my firefish when re scaping.

Oh and as of recently I have added diamond gobies to my dislike list. Doesnt seem to matter how small the top in on the tank, if it isnt a perfect fit they somehow jump out thru holes smaller than their body...been thru 3 in the last year and finally threw in the towel on them. bough a couple fighting conchs and a 2 spot goby. the goby is still adjusting so he doesnt sift much but the conchs go to town on the sand bed

Idk why they even bother to serve that fish. It is definitely the least tasty of all edible fish.

do some research on how they're farmed and you'll never want to eat it again. google tilapia and chickens.

then look at where swai / basa come from!

yuck!

My worst were my first. Back in 2003/4 I started a 20g tank and my first additions after cycling were two yellow-tail blue damsels. They tormented anything I put in the tank, including my skunk cleaner. I'll never, ever do damsels again. Satan's little helpers.

My purple tang was the worst fish that I've ever owned. Was a model citizen for nearly 3 years then decided that no other fish was worthy to participate in being alive. After a couple days of endless torment I removed it from my tank and traded it to a friend for a clownfish to replace one that had been so senselessly killed. I have no idea why it just snapped.

Didn't need to hear that. I just added a Purple to my tank. Maybe the Kole and Caribbean Blue that were already there will keep it in line. so far not one problem - 1 week

Am I the only person who doesn't like clownfish? I'm sure they're good tank inhabitants. They're just so goofy looking, like they are only half awake or something.

+1 I started with a Yellow Tail Damsel when I first started in the hobby and it either killed any new fish or chased them out of the tank. Nothing like finding a new fish or three dried out on the floor. After I wasted enough money on new fish I just gave the Damsel to my LFS. Even though I was tempted to see if it tasted better than Talapia after losing out on money from the fish it killed.

The manner in which they swim and their look adds a ton of character to the tank.

Stupid murderous coral beauty, constinatly hid at the sight of anyone then one night chased 4 fish out my tank and started munching on my sps! ***** fish

I just had to tear apart half my tank to get a spotted hawk fish out. He was a total dick to anything new that was added, even clean up crew. Never again will i let the girlfriend pick out a fish I know little about without doing a little homework on first ... it was my own fault.

diamond back gobies. Tear up the bottom of sanded tanks, cloud the water, foul the pumps with grit, and cover and kill any coral on the sand. fast and wary and difficult to remove. Had to fish mine out with a hook, line, sinker, and a little shrimp on the end. It was such a glutton that it worked within minutes

I love my clowns, when i look over the top of the tank they literally poke thier heads out of the water to look back at me.
