Does anyone have an mp20 in a small tank I can look at?

Tang... you must mean VorTech... No the tank is not too small for a VorTech. I thought the mp40 would be a little too powerful, but actually the controls make customizing it to any size tank a cinch.

Dammit, wished I read this thread when I was down at Phishy's. One question, will 1 mp40 give me a decent wave action in a 75? I don't think the wife would be too happy with me getting 2 mp40s.

Yeah there's a link around here somewhere that shows 1 mp40 rockin a 90g.

IMO 1 mp40 would work just fine in any 4' tank.

I took a few quick videos upon request of the VorTech.

You can hear the pump grinding too. I didn't have time to mess with it today yet, hopefully when I take the time to play around with it, it will stop. In Reefcrest mode there is no noise at all though. Also, I didn't really rock the wave, been busy all day and just dialed one in real fast. Regardless I think you'll get the idea.

Wave w/ pump on back:

Wave surface agitation... pump on back wall:

Tried out a wave w/ the pump mounted on the side wall. Got a lot of sloshing from the overflow though.

If you don't mind me asking, How do you have them set?

- Pump locations
- Mode
- Frequency of Pulse
- I'm assuming max speed

We tried unsuccessfully in Phil's 220 for a few minutes.

I have one on each end, they are set in the anti-sinc mode. I have them in the pulse mode. You have to play with them until you get right setting, it took some time to get them dialed in. They are about 10 inches down from the top of my tank, max speed. The pulse is about every 2 seconds. When one pulses the other does not and vise versa.
