Does anyone have success

I have pretty good success with SPS but my nitrates are 40. I probably don't have the most delicate SPS maybe that's why. My tank is mostly LPS with 6 or 7 SPS mostly acropora and montipora. But they are many years old.

I normally try to run my nitrates between 0-10ppm but lately I've bumped up to 20ppm, probably from over feeding. But I have noticed some of my sps bleaching a bit in areas. I've cut down on feeding and the bleaching seems to have stopped. Not coloring up again yet but not advancing. I have some of the hardy sps (Birdsnest and Montis) and some more delicate ones (Bonsai and Velvet). My Monti Caps though have really taken off with the higher nitrates that I may have to really frag them to avoid hitting my Acros.

I'm pretty new, but my 29g (bought used) started with sky high nitrates and now runs 15-20, very slowly coming down. Monti plate grows and colors great. Stylophora is happy and healthy with good color and PE. I have one birdsnest (who knows what kind) and it looks good as well. I have also had a Cali Tort frag for a month and a half or so, it initially was green/purplish blue, turned mostly brown, and is now turning back to purple with green polyps. Not the most amazing Cali Tort coloration (yet) but seems to be growing and showing great PE. In fact, I dropped and broke this frag during the dip, and it's healed very well, can't even tell now. Coraline algae is growing quickly, and is a great color.

It won't be winning TOTM any time soon, but it looks 1,000x better than when I brought it home!
