Does anyone have suction cups I can borrow?

gonna start to repair my glass tank this coming week.

So what are you asking for, the little ones that come on hobbyist equipment, or large ones with handles a vacuum brake for carrying glass?

It's for the large glass, we're going to be working with 3/4" glass 48x24 in size. replacing the bottom and the back panel of the starfire.

if anyone has experience in doing this, please give tips and advice, I have no prior experience with glass, and Elite who's supposed to help me only have experience mounting a tiny OF box on his 50g. Pretty scary to think about 125g on the floor. :eek1:

The aquarium maintance company I used to work for, has several sets of those. I'll call the old owner and see if I can borrow them. If so, I'm meeting Elite sat monring and I'll drop them off to him. Don't get your hopes up though, the company has been out of business for a few years now.

good looking out, I didn't even know we had a harbor freight here.

I'm actually in fremont at the moment. Maybe I'll just go there.

Actuall it's in Newark not fremont, no wonder couldn't find it.

Not just for one job... you can use it to pick up the tank and put it on the stand after we done....

Pep boys, autozone sells single suction cups with a handle. Used for pulling large dents out of bodywork.

The doubles work better. Attach them to the perpendicular to the glass. They hold much stronger that way.
