Does anyone in the Roseville area have RedSea Reefer 170 that I can checkout?

I'm thinking about getting a RedSea Reefer 170, but before I drop close to a $1000 on a tank I'd like to see one in action and discuss pros/cons. Is anyone open to showing off there tank and talking shop for an hour or so?

Thanks
Ed

I'm in the east bay. I bought 2 recently. Not sure that I can set up both at this time. One is set up and going. So far it's a very likable system. Let me know if you want to come out.

have you checked out Aquarium Depot? I know they carry some of the Red Sea Reefers on their sales floor.

I wanted to see one in action and talk to the owner about everyday operations and the system in general.

Thanks.
Next time I'm in that area I'll PM you!

if you don't find someone with the 170, I do have a 350. Definitely bigger but the offer is there. :)

Are you using the sump that it came with? That's one of the things I'm interested in learning more about.

Yes, I am but the sump I have is definitely bigger then the 170.

Hard to explain the flow of the sumps but I can try.

With the 170, the water flows into a section in the back right and then into the filter sock. The filter sock is in the same area where the skimmer would be. Then the water flows towards the back where you can see the pump

With the 350, the water flows into a section in the back right and then into the filter socks. The filter socks are located in the same area as the skimmer and then flows to the left side where the green hose is dangling.

The filter socks are 4" socks but the generic 4" socks do not fit unless you modify them. Red Sea offers them for $9 a sock.

The ATO is okay. The ATO container is small and I fill that tank every 2 days with RODI water.
