Does anyone know what this is????

Hello, does anyone know what these things are and if they are good or bad? I have them only on two pieces of my base rock but not on any others. There are two of them and a small one growing next to the top one. They look like little sponges with hairs around the opening. Thank you!

If they annoy you get some hermits.mine ate all of mine. Idk if that's common but mine did.

I just removed several of these yesterday and did not know what they were. They were growing on the bottom of my goniopora that is suspended on the rock work. I thought it may be a type of mold or fungus - glad I finally know what they are.
