Does anyone know what this is...

I have this growing on the rocks that are located in the middle of the tank. Some have been there about 3 years. They are located about the middle of the tank and in full light. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like a very unhappy coral that needs to be on the sand bed in a lot less light. Once It opens might be able to tell what it is. Not a good enough pic for id.

Thanks Dkuhlmann. I don't think it's a coral though. They are fuzzy if that helps any. They just grew on their own. The small one is the newest one and has been on that rock for about 2 months. They just appear. If it was a coral, I would think they would move or float to be on lower rocks but these are all on the upper most rock and right in the middle of the tank.

The first one has a tree-ish shape, is the truck hard or what? Like, is that whole thing the thing?

lol. It has a hard trunk and it grew to be that tree shape (about 3 years old). Matter of fact, they start out like the small one and grow to be tree shape over time. They're really cool looking but I have no idea what they are.

There are many different types of corals and what I do know it' snot a fish or an invert, it appears to be a tree so that leaves out algae or plants so yeah Coral.

It looks just like my Kenya tree when it's asleep or gets ****ed off when I do wc's etc or its not in the right flow or lighting. The Kenya Tree shrinks up tight and yes it looks much like that picture. But the pictures aren't a good enough quality or am I able to blow them up enough to get a proper id. Kenya trees and Colts are very similar and it could easily be one of them, oh and they are part of the soft corals also known as leather corals.

I think I read you wrong, I was wondering if it had a hard shell like a bone. Are you saying it's just harder flesh? Like... Broccoli kinda

Also does it have holes in it? I think tunicates do so they can pass water through them

The stalk is hard like but the rest of it is soft and fuzzy little balls. No holes or anything like that. Here are some more pics to see if that helps any. The biggest one is about 1" tall and the smallest one is about 1/4" tall.
