Does anyone make a fitting that goes inside 1" PVC?

I made an error and glued my shut off valve on my return to my UV. I used a piece of 1" pipe to run between the valve and the UV. Needless to say the vavle cracked. I can cut off the valve but I'll be left with nothing to glue to. Is there any fitting that fits inside 1" PVC?

Maybe a 3/4 inch barb fitting will go inside with a bit of modification and glue.

There might be a standard pipe tap that can cut threads into the inside of the 1" pipe. Then you can easily attach another fitting or an adaptor of some sort.

Good idea on the tap!

A slip bushing, but by doing this you will be reducing the diameter of the pipe.

But the bushings go in the fitting, I need to get something inside the pipe

You may still be able to use a bushing, measure the ID of the pipe then go and start measuring bushings. Just an idea!

How about a permanent solution? Cut it off flush with the UV and thread it. I don't know the dimensions of your input/output, but that way nothing like this could ever happen again.
