Does anyone own a Ranco controller?

I bought one off someone from RC and it only came with instructions for setting the temperatures. Does it have a manual?

I noticed mine likes to turn off and come back for no reason. There is nothing wrong w/ the outlet it's plugged into. Is there an explanation for this?

How do you have yours set up? Is it a single or dual stage?

I have a dual and it is set at follows, works flawlessly.

If temp drops to 77, turn on heaters.

If temp raises to 79, turn on fans.

I don't remember if it came with a manual, but this link tells you how to set it.

Thanks for the link. I have the dual stage. The instructions that came with mine was basically the info on that page.

What is the "lockout switch" mentioned on the link? And what exactly is the differential setting?

"Lockout Switch to prevent tampering by unauthorized personnel"

The differential is the amount of degrees the temp will change before switching on the heat or cooling method.

Mine is set at 78 with a differential of 1, so the heat turns on at 77 and the fans turn on at 79. At 78, neither are on.

I mean literally what is it because I don't see any switches (other than the obvious) on my controller

i bought one, but then purchased an ACjr but i did find instructions somewhere. the lockout switch is inside the unit. you have to take off the cover and i think it is on the top of the cover but not sure.
