Does clown fish host Hammer coral?

I saw my new clowns swam around it, even tried once but didn't host the hammer coral.

Clowns will "host" anything but I try to refrain from letting clowns host corals because most corals cant take the stress of a clown rubbing on them all of the time.

That is so true. Clowns will host in just about anything. My clown has been hosting in my bubble coral for the LONGEST time and he loves it there. the bubble coral doesn't seem to have any ill effect.

Do you have an anemone in there? might be a good idea to look into one.

I don't have anemone in tank. Instead of waving hand xenia.

I had a clown fish before, it was chasing my damsels every single minute but never took a look of hammer coral or xenia.

My false percs host my hammer coral and the coral does not seem to mind at all. I have lost two different anemones over the past 3 years and am not ready to give another one a chance yet due to the fact that I still do not know why either died. Anyway, both of them are happy for now so I am going to leave it that way.
