Does it matter what kind of fish I feed to fish??

I live near the Gulf of Mexico and we take trips down there to go swimming and such. Just this morning it seemed as though there were more minnows then I have seen in a while?!? Could I just capture some up in a net, chop/blend them up, mix in some Cyclopeeze and other items, freeze em and feed em?? Or should I simply stay away from feeding fish to fish?? Mad Fish Disease??

if one of the fish is sick it might wipe out your tank

hit or miss, you do run a chance. my lionfish had nothing but stuff i caught in the ocean he outgrew the tank and is still living, almost 7 yrs old. but i have also read articles that it did end up killing their fish.
