Does my candy cane have 3 mouths?

Hey guys, was wondering been few weeks my single candy cane has had 3 visible holes in the mouth, here's a picture of it, sorry for quality! if someone could enlighten me with it! That would be great

Sure looks that way. Once the mouths are formed, it will start to split between them, and once that happens, your 3 mouthed candy cane is now a 3 headed candy cane! Then the whole process repeats.

Yes, they are splitting. The start of three heads. Good news because they are happy.

Yep. Mine has gone from 2 heads when I got it to this.

How long did it take to go from 2 heads. I have had mine for 8 months and went from two heads now at 4 working 5

In December of 2013 I started with 2 heads of the lighter green one on the right and 4 heads of the teal one on the left and today I have about 20 mouths of each color.

This is the original picture when I placed them in my previous tank in December 2013.

Mine has had 3 mouths for about 3-4weeks now! No splitting or anything

I feed mine about once a week and it has grown from 2 heads to about 40 in 14 months. Thinking about selling the colony and just keep a few heads to re-grow.

Or just keep the colony and split 1head and place it somewhere else in the tank! Let that one grow! Unless you want the cash for other corals or equipment upgrades!
