does the x-terminator work?

A friend of mine has a mantis in her reef tank. I was thinking about getting her one of these for x-mas. Is it worth it? Here's a link:

It is a very small mantis, only around 1" in a 30 gallon tank with no surviving fish.

It's excellent for catching hermit crabs and the occasional (non-mantis) shrimp. Mantis shrimp and nuisance crabs tend to be too smart to get trapped in the xterminator ime. Or maybe it's because the other critters trip it long before the target organisms would consider entering the trap ?

Thanks for the feedback Agu. She doesn't have any hermit crabs or other inverts besides small snails. The mantis has decimated everything else. She's pretty desperate to get him out of there so I think for $15 I'll give it a try.
