does this trumpet/candycane look ok?

I bought it yesterday, and it's been in the tank for around 24 hrs or so. I have seen no signs of polyp extension at all from it, but a good part of the time I can see the mouth on all three heads. I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but the red part on top of all three heads is really hard, like it's part of the skeleton. Is this normal? A torch and some zoas that I bought seem to be doing just fine, so this one has me a little concerned.

Parameters:
ammonia-0
nitrite-0
nitrate- 5-10ppm

Looks ok. In terms of polyp extension, look for short feeder tentacles around the oral disk. They usually come out more at night but will often react to the presence of food during the day as well.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't noticed and feeder tentacles, but when I feed the other inhabitants it does open its mouths and can grab pellets that I've spot fed to it.
