Dog to good home

Hello all, I know this has nothing to do with Reef, but I feel I know most of you and I have a situation here. My daughter whom is in the Navy has been stationed in California and will be leaving soon. She brought her dog here to my house, he is a very sweet 8 month old lab/boxer mix, he is very very sweet and is well manored. He is house broken but likes to stay out doors more. He is also crate trained and is well behaved in a crate. He doesnt bark outside or anything, he is a great dog. However, he is big, too big for me to be able to care for. He is playful and he has knocked me down wanting to play. I can not take care of him because my doctor said that I have very thin bones and that a fall like that could actually brake my back, so now I need to find a new home for him. I would like to find a home that has a fenced in yard. I definately do not want him to be tied up, nor do I want him running loose to get hit by a car. If anyone would like to have a wonderful dog that will probably be a great watch dog and a great companion, please let me know. You can PM me or email me at jakeandjoysmom@aim.com I also have a large crate that I will give to the new owners. He has a micro chip and current on all shots and is neutered. He has been very well taken care of.

Good luck to finding him a home. I will surely keep an ear out and point people your way if I find someone looking.

This is our guy, I think he is a boxadore (boxer lab mix). Fantastic dog, super athletic, gentle around the house and with kids, but he is a barker. :)

I don't need another dog, but I've got to say that I also have a Lab/ Boxer mix and he's the sweetest and most intelligent dog I've ever had. If he's anything like mine, he will make a fine pet for most anyone. Very good temperment. Good with kids. I hope you find a good home for him. This is my favorite dog of all I've ever had, out of about 6 dogs.

Awww, he is beautiful :) he looks to be more boxer han lab for sure. This dog looks more like a lab. I will try to get a picture up. He never barks, we have a hound next door that never shuts up and he still doesnt bark at her even, lol. He is just too much for me though, I have 3 dogs myself, lol, hey are small though.

If we dont find a home for him, she will just have to purchase a kennel because, although I have a fenced in back yard, I have 3 inside dogs that have to go out and each time I have to put him in the garage and let them out, they are small and he is playful, one of mine only weighs 28 oz. so I dont want him stepping on her, its just way too much for me :(

He does resemble a Boxer, especially with the markings, but his shoulders are pretty close together. Most Boxers have a very wide stance, especially with the front legs. Also, his muzzle is longer than most 'in-spec' Boxers. I was once told 'we cannot all be Brad Pitt's' so I supposed he could just be way out of standard. We considered doing the swab dna test just to find out.

Sorry to hijack, I just enjoy getting to talk about the kids. :D

Aww, thats more than fine, I love talking about mine too :), and yours really looks to be pure bred in the picture, boxers are so sweet. I have a tiny tiny chihuahua, who is sweet and not a yippy dog, and sweet sweet pug that is my baby, and a bulldog that is the most gental thing in the world. They are all in the house and I just love them so much. They keep me going for sure. The pug and bulldog do not travel well, they get car sick, the chihuahua was a recent purchase, she is being trained to be my therapy dog, something that was recomended by my doctor, I am very excited about it :)
