doing hypo in DT

I had a fowlr setup until I recently added a couple corals and shrimp to the tank. I think I talked about doing hypo in another thread but don't remember. My question is, my salinity right now is at 1.024-.1025. I saw a fish of mine w/ ich a couple days ago and its gone now but its still probably in the tank. I don't have a quarantine at the moment. Will hypo kill the corals and inverts? I can take them out if need be. How should I bring the salinity down and not cause a shock? What is the level at which I should keep the tank's salinity at and for how long?

Thanks in advance for any help.

just read a few articles and they said its not recommended for tanks with live sand and rock, both of which I have. Does hypo kill all the life on the live rock as well?

I did hypo on my 220 FOWLR because of a ich problem. I had over 200 lbs of live rock but no sand because it was a bb tank. I dropped the density from 1.024 to 1.009 (very slowly). I kept it at 1.009 for 8 weeks. I did not experience any bad side effects to my fish or live rock. However hypo will kill your corals and inverts so they must be removed.
