that video got to me a little bit, not because people eat them and use them as a food source, but the inhumane methods of capture/slaughter. euthansasia through very cold water temp drops to slowly stop the animals respiratory system seemed like a more humane/viable/ still cost effective way of processing them. nonetheless i signed the petition. if my 2 minutes of time atleast gets one person to raise an eyebrow to this problem it was worth it to me. im by far NOT an anti-cruelty/peta activist but that was pretty sick. as rough as that video was i tempt you to curiously search for the shark "finning" practice videos. that is horrendous. 1000 sharks sit on the deck of a tanker and are slid out one by one and with a swift pull of the machete the fins are removed then the still very much alive shark is thrown bleeding over the deck to sink to the bottom. the fins are used for soup. atleast the japanese seem to use all of the meat from the dolphins for consumption. enough of my rant though just my .02 <~~~steve
