domino damsel hosting ?

Sorry if I’m in the wrong forum but aren’t they in the same family as clowns; figured you guys/girls might know about this.

My domino damsel is hosing in and around several corals. Is this normal? He mainly either hangs out under a large finger leather and closedirectly below that is a very large Hawaiian feather duster and a large colony of purple shrooms right next to each other that he hosts in. One night he was hosting in the open brain thankfully he stopped for now. He even tried out the clam and was rubbing his belly, fluttering his front fins and flippig his tail around in the ricordias.

Thanks,
Jesse

It is stated in my fish guide book of 500 fish for the home aquarium. That they will host a couple different anemones. So I wouldn't be surprised that it will host some soft and lps corals. But I am not an expert. So I could be wrong.

It happens ive seen them host anythign with long anemone like polyps. Ive also have a pair of bangaii cardinals who "host" my BTA while my Clowns host their smaller carpet

Never had one, but they are all basically damselfish.

Yes, damselfish will host in various corals and such just like clowns as they have the same symbiotic relationship.
