i'm currently gettin a 30g set up for a friend. i was wondering if i just took some of my rock and put it in his tank with agra live sand or bb if it will still have to go through the cycle period. i think it may work but not 100% sure. would like some input please. thanks

Even with mature rock and mature sand you are still going to have a cycle, not a big one, but it will still be detectable.
