Don't understand my controller!

I thought I had pretty good grasp of the english language, but the instruction manual to the multicontroler is incomprehensible to me. I have two 6000 streams and a multicontroller.
Please explain the difference between pulse, interval 1, interval 2, and sequential. How exactly do the pumps turn on and off under each setting, and what are the two different interval settings?

I'm also not sure how to set it so the flow reduces at night.

Pulse- all pumps on and pulsing, pumps on channel one pulse between top and bottom knobs at the pulse time you set, same for channel two.

Interval 1- One channel is on and pulsing and then after the set interval that channel shuts off and the other comes on.

Interval 2- The same as Interval one but rather than turn off the pump idles at 30%.

Sequential- The pumps turn on in series, of little to no use without at least 4 pumps.

Pulse sets the number of seconds between top and bottom knobs, Interval is used only in Interval modes and sets the time between channels.

Night mode turns off pulsing and the pumps run at whatever the bottom speed knobs are set to for the night.

I have mine set at interval 2 with one tunze flowing across the front of my tank and the other one across the back of my tank of the opposite side. Is this good placement for this mode?

Yes, that should work, it would create a good circular current.
