Dophin Pump Seal Replacement

The seal on my Dolphin super AMP master 6000 pump is failing (discontinued model that I was told came with the "new" seal - 6000 gph at 0 head). This is the main return on my school's aquarium. However; this shouldn't be much of a problem considering I'm rebuilding the system soon. The cheap seal repacement is $25 through marinedepot (and I was told will last about 2 years), but I can also get an actual marine-grade seal through the company for about $100 that should last for the life of the pump. After calling up the company, they told me that if I were to send in the pump with a compatible seal, they would install it free of charge. Does anyone know where/if I can get a compatible high quality seal for less than $100, if I should get the cheap seal or if I should just play with my budget until I can get a new pump (I don't have much to play with)?
