What are differences between male and female for

Doryrhamphus pessuliferus and
Doryrhamphus janssi?

Hi there,

Doryrhamphus janssi is easy. Males have small barb-like projections on the top of their snouts. Females lack them.

As for Doryrhamphus pessuliferus, I'm not aware of any visible sexual differences.

No picture on my work computer...sorry. You might check out seahorse.org, I believe I posted it over there in the pipefish forum. There is also some good info on pairing and rearing pipes there.

I registered to seahorse.org, but almost all forums are protected. I suppose that here is Validating procedure, but I registered 1 day ago and there is still Validating on my user name . Is this normal ?

Sort of, we had some problems over there a while back and now there is a "probation" period I believe. One of those "one bad apple" deals, have a little patience. What user name did you use? I have freinds in high places :D
