Doser 2 WLAN/LAN setup

Is there ea setup guide for the WLAN.LAN features on the DOser 2?
For the life of me I can't get this thing to connect via wifi.

Pretty much everywhere. I can't get the app to connect via WiFi on ios or android. I have connected to the dosers access point but no go.
I have tried adding it to my existing network also no luck.

If you use the WiFi wizard under the system tab in GHLControl center, it'll tell you your default gateway and to pick a static IP address within a certain range.

The main thing is to spell out the SSID exactly as it appears on your network and get the encryption type correct. You can find the encryption type by logging into your router.

I have the IP and subnet setup correctly as well as the default gateway AND the SSID.

I am trying to figure out how to add it to my existing network. I thought to use a static routing but I am getting subnet errors.

I'm not a noob when it comes to configuring networks, but a setup guide would help.

I'm no pro when it comes to this networking stuff, but if you go to the windows command prompt and ping the ip address you set for the router, it will tell you if the doser is connected to your network.

I do agree that there should be a step by step instruction with pictures for setting this up. Artur for GHL may be able to help you out remotely.

This is the only setup instructions I found off of the GHL support forum:

1. Change from “Access point mode” to “Client mode”
2. Enter the SSID of your router, SSID is the name of your wireless network. (http://www.wikihow.com/Find-the-SSID-on-a-Computer)
3. Choose WPA2PSK for “Encryption” and for “Encryption type” AES. (This depends on your router settings, you can check it in the router interface)
4. Enter the Key of your wireless network, you find the key on the backside of your router or in the router interface.
5. Select “Use following settings” under IP Settings
6. Enter a “IP address”, “Subnet mask” and Default gateway”.
Before you can enter an IP address you have to know what your default gateway is.
To find out what your default gateway and subnet mask is, follow this instruction: http://www.noip.com/support/knowledg...fault-gateway/

Step 1: Click the “Start” button, type ‘cmd’ and press “Enter” on your keyboard. (A black Command Prompt should appear).
Step 2: Next type ‘ipconfig’ and press enter “Enter”.

Enter the default gateway and subnet mask displayed in the command prompt.
You have also to enter the IP address of doser, this looks like the default gateway IP address except the last number.
e.g. If your default gateway is 192.168.1.0 you can enter an IP address between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254
It is recommended to choose a number bigger than 200.

With the latest GHL Control Center you can use the wizzard for this steps:

7. Click the save button and wait at least 5 minutes, the doser needs few minutes to connect to your network.
If the doser do not connect after 5 minutes, restart the doser (unplug power cable for fews seconds) and wait 5 minutes after the restart.

When you done, go to "Administrate..." in the top menu of the GHL Control Center and create a new TCP/IP connection.
Enter the IP address you entered in step 6 above as Host-Name.

Interesting result.
I have configured the doser with my SSID and all the correct IP routing info. For expediency I have disabled WPA settings so it is an open wifi signal.
Now when I try to connect to my standard network SSID on my computer I get a popup asking for my WPA key!
Even if I had WPA enabled this computer has the key stored so it should be able to connect.

What it looks like is the doser is using the SSID I supplied to rename it's own signal which is now canceling out my router.

Thanks Matthias, I am going to do full FW updates on all my hardware first. I noticed this morning after marking levels in my alk and CA containers that the pump isn't dosing at all even after setting it up via USB and confirming all settings.

check to see if the manual dosing buttons on the front work, if not the unit has lost its serial number and needs resetting.

Manual buttons work fine.
I attempted a firmware update but once the loser goes into boot loader mode parallels on my Mac no longer connects properly. I followed the onscreen instructions and can't find the appropriate USB entry in the Device Manager. So it would seem I can't do a firmware update.

you likely need to load the driver manually I did a how to guide on this but its for windows so will look different for you if you are on Mac, go to the other forum and go to the pump section and look for a how to guide on loading the firmware driver manually

Actually, the guide does not cover firmware updates which, according to the onscreen prompts, require a different USB driver.

Thank you. That does allow me to install the correct driver but now I get an error, update can't be installed.

Here are the settings.
