(1) Will their be a PAB doser? If so, estimate on when released?
(2) I may have missed this, but when will updates be able to be preformed over a network connection and not the USB connection?
(3) Is it possible to use the USB on the GHL to power the wireless bridge?

Thanks.

The will but GHL no longer release time lines, it creates so much heat its a pointless stress

(2) I may have missed this, but when will updates be able to be preformed over a network connection and not the USB connection?
This will not come until GHL have completed their new interface due out sometime in 2012, the reason for the is is becuase of the massive amount of data transfer required when updating a profLux USB or ethernet simply can not handle it, GHL is more of a professional automation system than a little tank controller so it has to rely on the same connections home automation systems and industrial control units rely on and that is RS232 for firware updates, we all may not like that but GHL is now got that far advanced

(3) Is it possible to use the USB on the GHL to power the wireless bridge?
Nope the USB input is a one way street, it is not dual input output.

I wanted to add just a tad to this

(1) Will their be a PAB doser? If so, estimate on when released?
1) I don't have a clue what so ever.

(2) I may have missed this, but when will updates be able to be preformed over a network connection and not the USB connection?
2) Due to various configurations of computer hardware and software on the end-user side and conflicts within those limitations for the time being it's a lot better and SAFER to do updates using native RS232 or RS232 to USB adapters. Some people "Get away" with LAN or USB only connections but if there is going to be a major error during an upgrade it happens with non-RS232 connections. Some people have learned this the hard way even though it's stated many times on the support forum and in the manuals that updates need to be carried out via the RS232 interface only. I've not even attempted one of the alternates simply because I've seen the problems it can cause if the update has a hiccup during the process.

(3) Is it possible to use the USB on the GHL to power the wireless bridge?
3) I had a similar idea and even started a thread about it
Wireless USB Adapter with the "jist" of the reply being
No, you can´t use that device. The USB connector of the PL3 is an input/slave socket. It has no power output and also no host functionality,..........You need an wireless access point if you want to connect the lan port of the PL to your WIFI net. I´m using the Vonets VAP11G which is as good as any other WIFI access point but very small and can be powered by the power supply of the PL3
I ended up using (very effectively) a DLINK DAP-1522 bridge.

Also some other "how-to" links I've created that may help

I am running out of elec sockets. I was hoping that USB socket was able to power the network adaptor (use as the mains) instead of the power adaptor.

wesheltonj I've asked him for some details/clarification. The image I saw of the unit showed how it can be power from something other than just USB port but I don't see how he gets the power OUT of the VAP11G unit. Once I hear back I'll post the results here as well.

I would be interested how Wirus powers both the PL3 & the wireless adaptor off the power supply of the PL3?

After looking at the unit closer I found the answer to my question. Here are the specs:

Specification:
1 10/100 base Ethernet cable header;
1 DC-2.0 female power port for power in;
1 DC-2.0 male power port for power out;
Input Voltage: DC5V-15V;
Consumed Power: Less than 1.5W;
Transmission Distance Indoor: 30m

So that unit does have a DC-2.0 male power port for power OUT! Makes sense now.
