Doser Setup on S5-8 Help

Hi guys,

Hoping I can find help here as not getting much of a response on the GHL forum.

Now I'm having problems setting up a 2nd 4 channel doser on S5-8.

I just need to know what I'm doing wrong so I can fix it.

I disconnected everything and plugged in ONLY the doser in question to S5-8 and programmed it as a doser like you do when setting up a powerbar etc.

They are sockets 25-28 for me but when I plug the system back in with all my powerbars and other dosing unit back into S1-4 they all start pumping and won't stop until I disconnect the power.

What have I done wrong?

Help needed and appreciated,

Matt

Hi

This is becuase the doser needs reprogramming to S5S8 so program it to react to these switching ports under socket function outlet.

Doser programming is also only possible up to channel 18 not beyond.

So if I have 8 channels of dosing they need yo be assigned somewhere between 1- 18?

I have 3 powerbars (18 sockets) and they are all full. How do I overcome this?

Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. But you have two 4-channel doser units and three powerbar units.
The way you would connect this is
One 4-channel doser into the S1-S4 port in the back of the profilux
The second 4-channel doser into the S5-S8 port in the back of the profilux
So now your S1-S8 is occupied with the doser units.
The rest of the powerbar slot will start at S9.

The main plug of the doser unit can go anywhere in the outlet. It has to be always on. To spare the socket on the powerbar, I advise you to just plug it in any wall outlet.

If you can get your first doser unit to work on S1-S4. The second doser unit on S5-S8 is no difference.

Thankyou, I think I got it. Guess I have to pull the system offline and redo the numbering.

Would I do this?:

x1 Doser into s1-4 and assign them as sockets 1-4
x1 Doser into s5-8 and assign them as sockets 5-8

Daisy chain remaining powerboards into 1st doser and number:

9-14
15-20
21-26?

Cheers

Yep they will be daisy chained.

What im asking though is that I will need to renumber the powerboards so that they start from socket 9 onwards? So they don't clash with 1-8 of dosing.

They won't clash. Profilux just don't allow powerbar to be S1-8 if the S1-8 port is occupied with something else. The S1-S8 takes priority.
The first socket in the powerbar will start at S9.

Yep thats what I figured!

Looks like im going to have some fun reprogramming 26 sockets on my next day off!

Thanks for your help mate.
