Dosing AzNO3

Dosing with AZNO3 and i am on day 10. I am dosing 16ml into a 125. Basically I think it is just carbon dosing. I got a big bacteria bloom and so i ddin't dose yesterday, I tried dosing 10 today and the bloom came back. Should I dial it back more tomorrow? Stop? Keep going? I have 3 fish in there.

I have a deltec mc500 protein skimmer
80-90 pounds of live rock
50lbs sand

I have a buddy who swears by this stuff. Personally I think it's a never ending process.
