Dosing/feeding for coral growth?

I was just wondering if there are any pros or cons to dosing or feeding anything to your SPS corals to aid in growth (ie. reef roids).

If anyone does dose, what do you dose? how often? and did it have any visible results?

I try to keep my tank as chemical free as possible so just looking for other ppl's opinion/experiences on this.

I just read an article that said something about a higher alkalinity cuasing more growth

im feeding my corals with Zeovit Coral Vitalizer every day in the morning before all lights on. the growth of my SPS is visuable, but i dont know if the fast growth was caused by dosing Zeovit Coral Vitalizer or by my 400w20k MH bulbs , or both. btw, i also dose Zeovit SP every day

if you have some grow you are doing fine already. Stability is a key so just keep it stable and grow rate will increase. By adding/changing you always risking to make more harm then good. If you still want to do it - do it slow and check your coral for any sign of stress.
