Dosing Iron

Thinking about dosing a little iron for my macro algaes. Read on the bottle that it shouldn't be dosed with Kalkwasser. Does this mean that I shouldn't use it at all if I'm dosing Kalkwasser, or just not to put it in the same container as that which is housing the Kalk? Any info would be appreciated.
