Dosing Pump Group Buy anyone?

Hijack away! I love the banter. KC they are pretty simple to work. My original came without instructions and I figured it out without them. These should come with help so I'm sure you can handle it!

Not to hijack Ali D thread on our banter. The ease of use of GHL is the most user friendly and a guy like me needs that. Tell me that when you get your Magic Marine and Ill eat crow. I owned 3 and loved every one of them, I rebuilt the one I am using now with all new parts. Can't be beat and customer service was great.

I will buy one of these to play with and see what I come up with and give my opinion then.

:deadhorse1:

lol, they are easy and the warranty guy was responsive. But I had to fight to get the screen for free and there's just not that much too them IMO (i.e. to replace the screen you have to buy the entire circuit board). I guess its like anything in this hobby (especially from Germany), if it works and works well its gonna cost you. I'll keep using my GHL until that 8 pump unit everyone's talking about comes out ;)

Interested what is the model #

LOLEagles, If you google Marine Magic Dosing pump, it's the only triple unit they have. I don't have a model number

Ugh I just bought one! it will be here Thursday

tobey, we may not get to the numbers needed to get them so that may be the only way.

So far it looks like we are up to about 9 possibly a couple more if some want more than one. Not too bad for one day, I think we are in for a shot at this. Still no word from them yet, they were very quick getting back to me the first time but I only emailed them yesterday afternoon. I asked about the smaller single units and parts if people want to add parts to the list. One thing I never though of is fees to transfer the money, I may need a couple dollars each for the transfer fee.

Ali D are you speaking of us sending you payment or you sending Magic Doser payment? I do recall JosephV having a issue sending money via Paypal because it was a high dollar amount. I'm not sure if PayPal caps the amount per transaction but either way another $3-5 isn't a big deal to me.

Yea I believe so, I will look into how much we can send via paypal, I have a family member who works at a bank so that's another option too if paypal is a no go or too expensive. Either way I'll do it the best way possible. Also just to confirm that the only benefit I will receive is a dosing pump at the price you all are paying. I'm doing this for the club not my benefit.

These things work great. I got one from a buddy of mine that services tanks and he said he puts them on all his "budget minded" customers tanks. He said the only problem he ever had was one shipped in and a pump didn't work and they replaced it right away free of charge. Can't beat the price in these that's for sure.

Keep 'em coming! Need to keep this thread alive to keep attracting people. I really wanna make this work.

Also, Pedro, It doesn't look like there is a 4 pump model or they can be set up as master/slave, they are on the more basic end but why wouldn't buying two work? Correct me if I'm wrong, which I never am (joke!) :lolspin: but wouldn't it be just as easy to have more than one and set that up for whatever you need it for instead of controlling all pumps from one master?

hmm... guess I would need to get three of these bad boys, let me think about it some more. May make a DIY doser with 12 pumps lol

Pedro, sounds like you are turning your tank into a meth lab! I feel like you're trying to control too many variables and are way over complicating things, that being said I see good results and nice coral coming from you and after all it's your tank. We would love to have you on board!

Thanks Ali, so far I'm up to 20g water changes on a 130g system. My ultimate goal is to do no water changes.... we'll see how that goes lol :D

Ok, now you have baffled me more, I feel like you're doing more work to avoid work lol. Why not just settle for 10 gallons every two weeks and dose the three basic elements, your trace would be more than sufficient with the water changes and dosing for Ca, Alk and Mag without water changes will be bad in the long run with the build up in the system.
