dosing pump questions

I had a thread in the nano section but thought maybe would get more traffic here.

Need some info on dosing my nano 16g sps tank.

I was about to buy the Bubble Magus T01 3 stage pump and some containers but right before I pressed the buy button I thought about the Brightwell solutions I am using. It says that the bottle needs to be shook before using it.

What are the ways to use Brightwell with dosers if it needs to shaking?

Any other opinions would be great as I've been keeping a log for 6 days and now know I'm on the right track dosing manually.

they have expensive magnetic mixers or you can shake it once a day and keep the tube off the bottom to not suck up smegma.

So, it really needs to be shook daily? Almost defeats the purpose of the dosing pumps all together. I searched on google and only found a couple of topics. One said that as long as the solutions stayed at room temp they would be ok for a while, but that was only an opinion from someone so dont really know how accurate their statements were.

Get rid of the Brightwell products and dose BRS three part. You won't be disappointed, and you'll save money.

+1 Having to shake 2-part products just to keep them working means they made the solutions wrong :lol2:

If you are using some of their "foods" then I would suggest using a magnetic stir bar and then google how to make your own magnetic stir plate. It is pretty easy to build and cheap.

Bulk Reef Supply. Diy solutions are less expensive and easy to mix. I make a gallon of each alk, ca and mag. They don't need shaking after being properly mixed.

You can also seach Randy's Recipe here on RC.
