Dosing Pump

I am not able to programme the timer on the dosing pump 1. I can programme all other timers. The pump is working but the timer does not want to work. Is there something wrong with the dosing pump?

I don't understand the question.

Where is the dosing station connected?
How many pumps does it have?
Can you activate the pumps with ProfiLuxControl using the "manual override"( under extras->socket outletfunctions)?
Do you use the dosing or the timer function to activate the pump?
Is the socket function adjusted correctly ("Timer x" or "Dosing pump x")?

Thank you for your reply. I have the dosing pump connected to S1-S4. I have tried dosing to activate the pump but could not get it working however when I connected it to the timer function it works. It also works on manual overide. I have plugged the Digital Powerbar into the back of the dosing pump.

Is this correct?

I have sent you my settings via private email. Thank you for your
assistance. It is much appreciated. Your patience and after sales service is outstanding.

Kind regards

Matthias,
I played with pumps last night and i think motor speed is kind of fast to dose any liquids .There is any ways to make this speed lower?

mike

You can dose in a 1s-time-resolution. That means the minimum dosing amount is 1ml.
Is a smaller amount really needed?
The motor speed can't be reduced. If we would operate the motors at a lower voltage to reduce the speed we could not guarantee that the motor starts reliable with any liquid.

I dose 0,5 ml twice a day one of my Zeo product. I guess i have to dose once a day at 1ml :)

Hey MSHUR,

I'm pretty sure you will be able to water down some of the Zeo products with RO water so you could be technically dosing at a smaller amount.

Yeah i do :)

I've only done it myself on the old Start2 but was told that it should be fine. Can't see it as being a problem with B-Balance and K-Balance either but as i said i've only ever had to do it with Start2.

Just check on the Zeo forums to be sure though.

I agree, for safety reasons it would be good if the pumps dosed a little slower,
what happens if it does not turn off and you dose all the kh buffer or kaltwasser? the whole tank will crash.

This type of pumps is not available with slower motors.

BTW: I also have customers who want more flow per minute. Not easy for us...

There is one way to decrease the flow rate: Use another tube (with smaller diameter). I will ask my pump manufacturer for other tubes.

Security reasons:
If the pump would not shut off a slower pump would only delay the problem and not solve it.

Not really as you find this out as for example if it is dosing (with slower pump ) kaltwasser the ph would rise and the alarm would tell you something is wrong.
If you have a fast pump it would dose very fast and will not give you enough time to fix the problem.
also if you are dosing kh buffer it would mix with the water at a slower rate. if fast it will perticipate out of the water.

As a matter of interest, why would some customers want pumps to be faster, what would you dose that needs to be dosed so quick.
