dosing pumps help

Thanks everyone for your time and input. I did like the lightmeter III but could not find myself spending $500 bucks at this time. I did get this from another fellow reefer http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=9641226#post9641226
does anyone have this type and if so how does it work for you?

you can hook any pump into the litermeter, just gotta wire in a $5 relay. i use masterflex peristaltics i got off ebay for $35 each.
