Dosing question

I have a 180g system and every morning I does 150ml of alk followed by calcium. Is this to much to dose in one shot?

Corals seem ok but growth in the past yr is sluggish compared to other members. The polyp extension is only seen at night.

What are your alk, calcium and magnesium levels?

Your parameters look good. If you are able to sustain these over time, then your dosing is acceptable. However, be cautious on how you dose alk. If you dump all 150ml kalk in one go this will have adverse impact on Ph by spiking it. Best thing is to drop the kalk slowly in a high flow area.

I place both the alk and calcium in my return section of the fuge. This does a good job of stirring up in the water column quickly

Do you have an ATO? I dose my kalk through that. The good thing of it is that in this way you dose the kalk ( in small quantities) through out the day which helps to keep paraments more stable.
