Dosing Two Part Buffer

Hey All,

Just curious...when dosing a two part buffer (ie Kent Tech CB), which part should be dosed first? I remember reading something about this but the search engine is "temporarily disabled"...

dose the alk first, sometimes if you dose the calc part first you can get a little precipitation. not a big deal, and you dont really have to dose either first.

Thanks. Yeah, I remember now, that is what I read. I do find it funny, though, that I am concerned about a few dollars per month in precipitate as compared to the crap load of money already spent, and I only have a 30 gal cube!

Honestly it really doesn't matter. Just wait long enough for the first part to fully dilute itself in the tank water then it's safe to add the second part. I usually wait a couple minutes between dosing the two parts. One great money saver is to make your own. I've saved tons using Randy's 2-part. Works great.
