I was dipping a bunch of zoo's using the mucho method... and had a couple of buckets for dippign zoos and separate one for other corals... a got busy and did not notice that I dipped one of my orange monti caps in the FW zoo dip.... it was only done for a few seconds till I realized it... put it immediately back in the tank... it slimmed up a bit and till morning did not look as good... drabber color than the other monti..

should I let it heal on its own or dip it in lugols solution ( for idodine healing properties )... will it survive????

Wasn't thinking right late a night... dang it..... that's what happens when you work on a tank around 10pm at night before sleeping....

Looked like crap.... worried me a bit.. luckly it did not happen to the larger piece I had whoooow. sup Kevin.. your zoo's are doing great..

The Male Anthias was traded to samrav.

but the 2 females are still doing great.. the dominant one is finally turning in to a male... I had another female and 5 purple queens in QT but they did not make it... would not eat.. figured it had bad liver from cyanide or something.. got it from one of those warehouse places... ( thought I could rescue them ) guess not...

I once have to dip my montis in FW because of monti nudis, actually I ended up dipping it couple times during the course of weeks. it looked like crap during the time, lost all colors, even killed/burned off a lot of the skin, but the nudis died in the process. Now all pieces are regainning back the colors and showed good amount of growth. Just make sure you give it a bit of TLC now, also seems like medium to high flow helps the recovery also, at least for me, good luck.

woooh.. thanks for the info DD. yeah mine looks like crap right now... it on the powerhead flow area. slimmed like crazy...

I think it should be fine, even though they slime and loose color, they are tough SOB's for the most part, just another weed in my tank! I have let a couple frags(I forgot about) sit out all night and then realize they were there and put them back in the tank, most of them made it through without any real adverse affects.

Even drying them out doesn't seem to kill them sometimes!

Thanks to all that replied.. I was so worried about it.. the reefer that I got it from, I promised that I would take care of it...

Nice Turbo, is that from Atlantis?

Its a good sized turbo but the other one I got with it is bigger than a golf ball.. and also have a bigger banded trochus.. I got them from aquatic central in Ocean ave. in SF.. they got pretty good stuff for a decent price... parking kinda sucks though...

But for the price I got em' for.. it was WORTH it..

Are you going to the barswap? I was hoping to go but really doubt I would have any frags to be brought there... maybe just to mingle heheheh..
