You should never rapidly change anything in your tank, unless its nitrate removal or something like that, so I'd say just how they market the product, it seems like

a.) They're acknowledging that it isn't a universally acceptable thing to jump your calcium through the roof, so with the caveat to say that its for experienced people, if you get a precipiation event or crash, they can always say you didn't use it right and

b.) They're marketing to people who are generally less informed and want a quick fix for a hobby that takes a lot of work, paying attention, and careful maintanence.

ok thats what i was thinking also that it was a bigger risk then pay off well the seachem works well in my tank so i will dose that and kalk and i should be able to get things with the cal. In check...... Hopefully sooner then later!!! I hat haven 300 to 350 ppm i told my girl freind that and were i want it she said its only 50 ppm she was like how big of a diffrece can it make i was like about ummm qurter inch of growth or more a month.

salt got here today. everything else is supposed to come in on tuesday even though it is in leetsburgh, pa at the fedex warehouse. weird how it didn't all come in at once
