Dragon eel on Divers den

I'm surprised they have been selling within the day lately. They used to hang around on DD forever, interesting how things change. The one from today had a really pretty face.
 
I really like that size and look of the zebra moray they have up. But from what I've read though, they don't come out much at all. :(
 
veg i was talking to a guy at a new lfs and he says he can get a dragon eel for $100. i want to call BS but if he can do that and its the real deal ill set up a new tank just for him or sell the fish in my current tank. dragons can live in a 55g right?

Dragons can't live in a 55g and for $100 I would expect he is talking about a Mexican dragon moray (jewel moray) or something. Possibly a Brazilian dragon moray, but those tend to be at least a little more expensive.
 
just collecting info luk so thanks, whats the minimum tank size? maybe the guy will order in the eel so we can see, whats different between the japanese and brazilian dragon moray?
 
I have a Japanese Dragon I have had since he was 6 inches long. Just a baby.
He is now 12 to 14. Beautiful. I would consider selling him for the same price as DD if anyone is interested.
 
If I had 9hunge sitting in my fish account, you'd better believe I'd get something that wouldn't hide all day :lolspin:

It would be awesome to keep though

I love the look of the Dragon's too. So does my husband (so I won that battle!). Unfortunately, I can't see spending that kind of money on one fish.
