That one doesn't look too happy. My dragon soul has bright green mouths with bright purple around the mouths and neon yellow where the coral is touching the sand. Id keep yours on the sand and feed it in the mornings when it's feeders are out.

My experience is they bleach easily with too much light. That one looks like it needs some food....it should be much puffier.

Picture was taken about an hr.After being purchased from the lfs..should it already be puffier I'll give it a few days off not I'll move him towards the center more..also he's already in the sand bed

This is mine. Its in the gf's biocube 29 under the factory lighting. I feed it in the mornings about once every 4 days or so. I feed it new life spectrum reef macro-feeder

I would keep it on the sand bed for at least two weeks before moving it someplace else. It definitely needs some time to get used to your tank, and this could be a matter of hours or days. Be patient...

On a side note, if you do happen to keep it on your sand bed, every time you do a water change you might want to lift the coral up off the sand bed and then set it down again. This will keep the edges from getting buried in the sand and receding. GL.

Thanks for the tips everyone gonna do a wc tommoro will make sure to lift it...it's totally away from the light in the corner should it be more beneath it

Day 2..seems to be just a bit puffier..I hope he comes thru..try feeding it some pellets today after work and here came my blood shrimp and stole his food..looks like he got one in..I guess I'll give it a few more days till u decide if that's his home

Itll be easier to feed it first thing in the morning when you turn your lights on, my Dragon soul always has its feeders out in the mornings and swallows the food almost instantly. When I feed it mid day it takes about a minute for it to open up and bring its feeders out. My clowns will eat the food I put on it so I have to feed in the morning while its feeders are out. Hope that technique works for you as well

It's tentacles were out last night but couldn't feed closed up as soon I turned on the kitchen lights..tried this morning but failed..I'm just going to leave it and let it do it's thing..still concerned whether its still getting to much light...this is a pic from this morn it's in the bottom left

You could always put a pellet on one of its mouths and put a small plastic container over the coral so nothing takes its food in the process of it trying to eat

I guess I should try to get some type of cover fir when I feed...so I ended up dropping a few pellets before I read your post nathan and each mouth took in a pellet was very close though my hermit and nassarius were real close in taking its food I kept the shrimp busy by feeding it a small piece of frozen fish but definitely will start looking for some sort of cover

You could try cutting a 16oz soda or water bottle in half. Use the top side to cover the coral with.

On the plus side is you got it to eat. Repeat that once or twice a week and I think your dragon soul will have a good come back

Good thinking cloak will definitely try that I was thinking of buying some sort of ziploc container..just got home from work and it was showing some of its tentacles not fully extended but a little was gonna feed but you think once or twice a week is enough don't wanna over do it

I only say once or twice a week because thats how I feed mine. I dont know how other reefers feed theirs. Id assume with yours not being in the best of shape that light feeding might be better than alot of fedings. If it were me id feed 2-3 pellets once every 2-3 days until the coral is back on its feet. Maybe someone will chime in on how often to feed an angry favia.

As long as the lighting is sufficient and your parameters are within reason, feeding once every 7-10 days should be fine IMO.
