dragon wrasse question

Ive read that wrasses like to bury themselves in the sand a night for protection, etc... How deep will they bury themselves? All the way? Just got a dragon yesterday and after watching it move every small rock/shell in my tank into a neat little pile the bugger disappeared. It has since shown back up, but I looked really hard for it (to no avail). the tank has a DSB so it is fully possible to completely submerge itself under the sand, but will it actually go completely under?

thanks,

Haha. Used to have a Juvenile Dragon Wrasse in a 100g FOWLR, it was a cool little fish. It will go completely under, how deep I do not know. They will move your rocks around so I'll be careful with that. And you'll need to feed them twice a day, they have a high metabolism.

i saw one at the lfs and want one so bad- if i ever get a bigger tank. these are considered difficult rigth?

They can be difficult to get established but the biggest problem is they become destructive in a reef tank and get somewhat aggressive to other fish as they grow and mature.
