I have a green mandarin and was wondering if it would be safe to have a green hairy mushroom in my tank or would it sting him to death?
Also what about a Duncan and a pallys?

I think you'd be fine. I don't have personal experience with the green hairy mushroom but we have a large Duncan colony as well a pally's with our mandarins with no issues.

Duncans are fine (3 colonies in my tank with my green mandy). I can't speak to all palys but I have a 70+ polyp colony of Mind Blowing palys, some of the polyps are almost 1" across and the mandy will steal mysis from them.
