I am plumbing my 150GAL RR to my basement sump and external skimmer. The tank has 2 1" drains with durso's. I am pretty sure my pump will be limited by the drains (reeflo blackfin 2500) because I calculate 1600GPH with the head. Would I be better off (maximize drainage) by running two seperate 1" lines with one y'd for skimmer, or combine them to a single 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" line and y for skimmer. Or is there any advantage to running to lines and upsizing each one even though the display tank bulkheads are only 1"?
