Drawing out a Green Clown Goby

about 24 hours at 80 degrees. All you need is a some sort of bottle, and airstone and pump and the eggs. Everything you ever wanted to know is here and here. I did this daily for 3 weeks while attempting to raise sexy shrimp larva. I always put bbs in my main display tanks, and the yellow clown goby went nuts over them.

I have always kept clown gobies and I always feed new born shrimp every day. I feed it for them and blue striped pipefish along with all small fish and gorgonians.

This is great info - I am going to look further into this! Where do I get the eggs? Don't tell me Petco, haha! :)

Can't find my fish - I guess he learned to hide better.

Actually, because I was doing a lot of hatching, I ordered from here. Small vials of eggs are available at most bigger pet stores, but the hatch rate isn't phenomenal. It should be good enough for your needs, but if you're hatching on a daily basis, you'll want something better. Try the cheap ones first to get a feel for the process. Also, they hatch better under a light source. I use a cheap clamp-on reflector with a small candle bulb for light and heat.

Bookmarked. Thanks!

Mysis is a pretty good bet, but the fun stuff with mine was a small piece of table shrimp between my fingers, he'd sit in the palm of my hand and munch on it... one of the coolest tricks I've ever gotten a fish to do.

You can get the shrimp eggs at any pet shop or on line. Here is my hatchery. Iput the eggs on the dark side and after a day they hatch and I cover that (right) side. There is a hole between the sides and I slide open the door and the shrimp all swim to the lighted (left) side in about 15 minutes. Then I slide closed the door and lower that tube so the shrimp flow into my reef. Simple.

Oh, and this fish has disappeared, so I guess target feeding won't be an option. I'm not going to get a lot of free time for a few days, so I may have to hope the scent of cyclopeeze in the water will get him itching to look for something to eat. (I hope that's all the itching he does!)

Thanks, Paul.

Well, this fish isn't going to eat, because I haven't seen it in a good while now. All my fault. Next fish will be eating readily in QT before going in my tank.
