I need some advice. I received my new Red Sea Pro test kit for alk/cal/mg. My results:
Salinity-1.025
Mg-1480
Alk-3/8.4
Ca-560

I am wanting to get ready for some SPS corals and am concerned because I am high. Do I need to be concerned with these results? Do I need to look into a dosed and what would you suggest?

room looks AMAZING! makes me jealous. I would defenitly have a large refuge and frag tank plumbed in, like you do, also in my system some where I would make a spot to grow mangroves...just for the fun of it... If it were me I would also have a cryptic zone. if you need a light for a frag tank, I like aquamana 156 watt cob from amazon $109.
again, looks like a dream come true my friend!

I will look into that light for my frag tank. I appreciate the encouragement. It has been a slow process. I am building a bio ball system now. I hope to have it installed this weekend. I should get to tie the full system in soon.

I ordered the above Reef Breeder lights on Sunday. My wife just called and said they are in our living room. I guess I am going to have to skip out on work. Pictures will follow soon.

What is you guys opinion on PAR meters? I am concerned about the brightness of the lights once they are up and running. How do you guys judge the location you place your corals?

I think the lights look good. I was hoping for more white but the purple gives it a good look. The leathers took to it immediately.
